Beauty & Wellness, Living

For us, there’s nothing better than snuggling up and getting cosy on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Setting the scene is important; comfortable clothes, a soft blanket, a huge cup of tea within arms reach, a good book and mood-boosting all natural, organic candles giving off a soft, warming glow.

There’s one problem. Lot’s of candles on the market contain nasty, toxic ingredients including headache-inducing chemical fragrances, paraffin, contaminated oils and lead wicks. Not exactly the relaxing, or healthy, environment you want to bring into your sacred space.

But don’t fear, you can still enjoy the lovely effects of a candle and stay healthy and eco-friendly. Just keep an eye out for; natural waxes like soy, coconut, rice, uncontaminated vegetable oils, and beeswax; natural scents from essential oils and botanicals; paraffin free ingredients; and pure cotton or paper wicks. Here are some of our favourite all natural and organic candles which we’ll be burning this weekend.

Etikette Candles

Etikette Candles are lovingly hand crafted by sisters Ella & Georgia in Adelaide, South Australia. Inspired by the places you love, this candle is designed to connect your heart and your home through fragrances that recall fond memories of Australia’s most beautiful locations.

Mindfully poured in small batches, Etikette Candles are made from 100% soy wax, a biodegradable, non-toxic and renewable resource. Soy wax is biodegradable, so you can wash with hot soapy water and repurpose your beautiful amber glassware after your candle has burned away.
